Wash chicken pieces and pat dry
Heat oil in a pan, add whole red chilli and shahi jeera till splutters
Then add onions and cook till slightly pink. Add mango puree and mix till oil separates.
Add whisked yogurt and stir
Once the oil separates from the curd, add dry spices and mix well
Add the chicken pieces and mix till it changes color
Add tomatoes and cook till mushy
Add 1/2 cup water and cover the lid. Let the chicken cook at low flame
Once the chicken is tender, bring the flame to high and thicken the gravy as required. Check for seasoning at this stage.
